Please join us as we learn about soil health demonstrations taking place throughout WI!
A panel of soil health practitioners and experts will share their thoughts and experiences with improving soil health on Wisconsin Farms, highlighting efforts to demonstrate tractable soil health practices and achievable results to WI farmers. To better understand the needs of the soil health community, we would like your input during this panel discussion. What has or has not worked for you? What do you perceive as barriers to reaching your soil health goals? We look forward to discussing our work and hearing your thoughts on this critical topic!
After the lunch (provided), we will take a visit to the Wisconsin Integrated Cropping Systems Trial (WICST), where we’ll hear from Dr. Gregg Sanford (UW-Madison, Soil Science) about the impact that rotational diversity, perennials, and livestock have had on these plots over the past 34 years! We’ll end with a coffee hour for participants to get better acquainted.
