Open CIAS Postdoc position to study diversified food grain supply chains
The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems is hiring a Postdoc Research Associate to study the development of diversified food grain supply chains in the Upper Midwest.
This is an exciting position that will work in collaboration with the Artisan Grain Collaborative, The Nature Conservancy, and colleagues at Iowa State University to study the development of diversified food grain supply chains in the Upper Midwest. The position will be split between two projects, one focused on defining the concept of a “grainshed”, creating indicators of grainshed performance, and evaluating the state of the Upper Midwest grainshed, and the other focused on creating an “oat road map” detailing the path and development needed for food-grade oats to thrive in the Upper Midwest.
